After knowing the game theme, the first thing we did today was a “Brainstorming” sharing our ideas to reach a final one. The exercise done during our brainstorming is called Shiritori and you can see in this video:

After that, we split into groups and start working.

Our members have been working on different areas, we have done this so far:

  • Illustrators: They decided the style that would work on, the did chose PixelArt, but after whole day, they realized that it required much more time than expected and moved on to another art style.
  • Developers: They have been working on an online punctuation system, in Google Compute Engine, using a Docker container.
  • Programmers: Their main goal of the day has been to achieve the basic controls, include firsts sprites from artists and spawn weapons and enemies.
  • Musicians: On the subject of music, have focused on composing the songs of different levels. They have managed to tailor the sound to each type of wave.
  • Designers: Design scenarios according to the illustration of the characters. The biggest problem might be finding additional items that fit perfectly.
