cant get around this bloody error

everything works running it as an app .. just with applet i constantly get this error..


ive even created a uber simple project to just test and i still get it..

ALL of my other games give me this error aswell now where i try to run them

im <—–> this close to just saying sod it.. ive spent like 4 hours trying to figure this damn error out ..

barely done anything on my actual game :(

ive tried jars/no jars etc

im thinking it mite be a known issue/bug?!

i shall never be using java again :)


any advice would be appreciated (other than give up hah)

  1. you may have set up your applet wrong

    like i use a applet with java because that what i mainly use and i am using and you can try and catch then printstacktrace that will tell you where the error is (well it should anyway)

    im not sure i understand ya man haha.. ive been using the same method i have for numerous games and now all of a sudden they all just give me that error

      You’re sure you’re not getting a line number? Try shrinking the project down to the minimum where you still get an error, then use syso to find out where it breaks exactly.

    i did shrink it down to pretty much nothing and still get the error.. its only when i try and run it as an applet in the browser.. it works as an application and with eclipses applet viewer..

    like i say all my old games dont work anymore either.. its really strange.. REALLY doing my head in now ahh..

    wasted SOO much time on it
