So I suppose I have no option but to drop out.

This is honestly one of the worst posts I’ve ever had to type out.

I have no option but to drop out. There’s no foreseeable solution to my problem, I have so little time to finish this game when even the very base code isn’t laid out, I failed. It’s also impossible to start on a new idea and have it done in time for the compo. This will likely be my last ludum dare, as it’s evident for my now 4 times attempted, and only one time suceeding, that game design isn’t cut out for me.

Just do what I’m doing and make a game in Twine. I’ve never made a text adventure before, and I’m liking the challenge this brings. If anything, it’s giving me a reason to stop yelling at games to have better stories and making me write one instead.

Pick a new idea that is small, pick something you can complete in 3 hours. LD is not about making a perfect game, it’s about finishing something! Now make a game! <3

Join the Jam if you need more time, and never give up!
