  1. Another venue that might be good timing: http://www.indiecity.com is just about to launch and getting your (PC/MAC) game in early will definitely earn you some sales. They hope to become the indie version of steam.

Canadian students can also take advantage of the Great Canadian Appathon: 48hr game jam, Sept. 30th, $50,000 in prizes: http://greatcanadianappathon.com/

Finally, I have a top secret CHARITY GAME JAM project that is under construction… more info on that soon…

  2. Web (Flash & Unity) – http://www.kongregate.com – Weekly and monthly prizes
Web (Flash) – http://www.flashgamelicense.com – Flash games marketplace

I imagine getting some funds via http://Kickstartercom or http://8bitfunding.com/ would also suffice for the goal? Another funding site http://www.indiegogo.com/ /

Then there are all the various app stores:
    Unity Asset Store: http://unity3d.com/unity/editor/asset-store.html
    Apple App Store ($99 registration)
    Android App Store ($25 registration)
Intel AppUp as mentioned above is also an app store, in addition to the prizes
Amazon App Store (for android) http://www.amazon.com/mobile-apps/ ($99/yr after the first year)
    Samsung Apps – http://www.samsungapps.com/
    Blackberry App World : http://us.blackberry.com/developers/appworld/distribution.jsp

Then there are all the tools for putting ads or micropayments in your app:
    Google In-App Payments: https://checkout.google.com/inapppayments/
    Ad4Game: http://www.ad4game.com/index.php
    http://www.inviziads.com/
    (.. many more..)

  6. Killswitch says:

Wait, I have to submit my game both in a Market Place and to this Website? 😀

    • PoV says:

Technically you don’t have to submit here, but I can’t imagine a reason you wouldn’t want to be on our list. If you participated in the challenge, it’s basically a record of that.
